During Non-lecture #1, Daniela Apice, founder of Apice for Artists, spoke with Stella Lohaus. Lohaus ran a prominent gallery in Antwerp from 1997 to 2011. Apice was curious about the zeitgeist in which Lohaus operated, the changing context, the decision to close the gallery and above all the form in which the gallery practice continues today. How do the conditions of an artist-driven approach translate to her current activities? The aim of the meeting was to search for the conditions for a more involved form of representation and presentation of contemporary artists.
